| Large Prisoners Fit Comfortably and Safely Into Jotto Desk's Single Cell for Ford Police Interceptor Utility. |
Jotto Desk realized the extreme challenge facing agencies in regard to the rear seat area of SUVs. If the OEM seat is removed and replaced with one of the current options on the market - then the pain of storing the OEM seat falls to the agency for the life of that vehicle. Plus, that agency must ensure that the "replacement seat" has been tested to FMVSS standards to eliminate the liability associated with removing an OEM seat and replacing with an aftermarket option. The Jotto Desk solution, however, provides the best of both worlds. The OEM seat remains in place - no testing is required as the OEM seat structure has already passed the required testing - no storage solution is required to house these heavy/bulky seats - AND the agency gains the benefit of an ABS seat (biohazard and contraband control). The bottom 2/3 of the rear divider and center divider is powder coated steel with a built-in HSEP for added prisoner foot room. We didn't want to give prisoners a birds-eye view of the "good guy" side of the vehicle when you don't have to. The upper 1/3 is polycarbonate and has been designed to allow for prisoner viewing/interaction but not diminish drivers view out the rear view mirror. In fact, the visibility for an officer is nothing short of amazing.
Rather than "force" our customer to take product that they don't need, Jotto Desk's Single Cell comes with Window Armor and an ABS Door Panel for the passenger side only. No sense shipping out product for the side of the vehicle there will never be a prisoner in. Helping to keep prisoners in their area and in case of a crash, keep your cargo where it belongs with the included the CB4 Prisoner Cargo Barrier. This New Design secures behind the second row of seats in the 2013 PI Utility utilizing OEM mounting points. No cutting of trim required and very minimal drilling is necessary. The top 1/3 is made up of 2"x2" Safety Wire to provide security and visibility.
